Piano Bench Gets a Facelift

So I've had this done for a little while, my bench was hideous I do not know what they had put on it but it would not polish out, so I decided to attempt a slipcover out of painters drop cloths.

Before:

And after...

I like it now if I could just get brave enough to cover my hand me down wingback chair.

Table Redo

I've been wanting a new table, one that my whole family and our dinner can sit around, but oh well has not happened yet. However ours was scratched up and grungy and in need of some tlc. I tried to find a before pic and this is all I can come up with.
After seeing the Red Hen's coffee table redo I knew this might work.

Can I say I love it! Some of the old red shows through then I used a bluish color called antique silver on the legs. After painting the chocolate ad from the Graphics Fairy and staining the top dark walnut I covered it all with an outdoor sealer, I figured eating with us can be like a category 3 hurricane. Anyways I like it I think I will paint all of my chairs white to unify it. Next project I guess.

Finally a project

I've been a little slow to do much with a 17 month old that runs everything. Here is my hallway that is the entrance to my garage, I love the organization and place for kids to put on their shoes.
I have half of my living room done as well, hope to add more pics soon.

Artwork on the cheap

I had these great Cavallini papers sitting around, they weren't quite right for my hutch so glued to some mdf they will work as some decor for now in my transitioning bedroom.
They look a little krooked, but I think it's the angle of the pic, sorry to all of you picture straighteners out there.

Love Sign

Saw a sign like this in a magazine, but it wasn't even for sale. So I found some scrap lumber in the garage and made it. Have you ever used carbon paper? For those of us not so good at the freehand especially while painting it is awesome. I was going to stain the edges, but while I was sanding it, the kiddos hit it with a golf club and put some great dings in it. The golfclub is my new favorite distresser, just be sure to not do it with the hubs around.

Do you think they look quite similar? Here is the inspiration.

New twist on an old classic

I've taken a while to put anything on here, I've been working on a quilt and lets just say I am not super fast. But at last I am done and I thought it turned out super cute, the pics don't do it justice (if I do say so myself). I love gingham checked quilts, they make me want to go out and have a picnic. Here is my version.
Gotta love pikos (spelling), but they take forever!
Love the shoe in the picture.
